Where do we begin teaching the Bible to Children? In effect, many think it is too much, too heavy, and our kids cannot understand. On this note, some parents feel the children will be intimidated and scared seeing the size of the book with some very challenging words. The Bible too is meant for children. Jesus himself enjoins us “Let the little children come to me and do not stop them” (Matthew 19:14).
Children are a blessing from the Lord. With these blessings also come responsibilities. As stewards of God’s
children, parents are responsible for helping children grow physically, intellectually, emotionally, and spiritually. The Bible is also for Children. But, like any other discipline, we need to teach them the Bible in their own way. We need to guide and direct them. Parents are encouraged to teach God’s law “when you are sitting in your house, and when you are walking by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise” (Deuteronomy 11:19).
The Children’s Illustrated Bible is an endeavour to teach children the Bible in a fun and effective way. This first volume treats the story of cousins. By this, we mean Jesus and John the Baptist. It is taken from the first two chapters of the Gospel of Saint Luke. The illustrations help the children to kind of connect with the stories. It is our wish that the teachings to these children may “fall like rain and my words descend like dew, like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.” (Deuteronomy 32:2)

Today the General Government has started a course to assist the new Major Superiors to equip themselves to assume the responsibility of leadership in their respective Organisms in the spirit of the Gospel so that, in exercising the service of authority, they discern and act ‘according to God’s heart’, to accompany persons, to foster missionary cooperation, to promote creativity and innovation that the Spirit requires in every time and place (MS 72).
There will be a total of four units. Each week will deal with the themes of one unit. Some reading materials will be provided or recommended by the animators/facilitators of each unit for personal reading and assimilation by the participants.
The period of the course will be 1 February – 1 March 2021. This is done through zoom. There are weekly video conferences according to Central European Time: GMT+1) scheduled as follows :
English session: 9-12.30.
Spanish session:15-18.30.
Each unit will have one weekly video conference consisting of two sessions of 90 minutes with a break of 30 minutes in between.
The course work is all about
* the personal work of each Major Superior (reading, study, … individual),
* the meetings with the superiors through zoom (dialogue, exchanges, sharing, …),
* a final meeting through zoom with all the Provincial Councils / Governments.
This program is in view to ensure proper qualification and support for those who will provide the services of animation (MS 72.1).

Depuis le 18 janvier, le Conseil de la Délégation Indépendante du Cameroun était en travail concernant sa première session ordinaire. Durant celui-ci s’est penché sur les défis que lui présente cette nouvelle année 2021; surtout en ce qui concerne les missions difficiles de la jeune Délégation. Ledit conseil a également réfléchi sur son budget de l’année qui commence, et sur la célébration de ses 50 ans de présence au Cameroun, qui trouvera son apogée les 6,7,8 pendant lesquels certaines activités seront menées et 9 Avril Jour au cours duquel tous les Claretains communieront avec leurs collaborateurs évêques, les laïcs et les commissionnaires Claretains. c’est aux environs de 12h 45

Le Conseil de Délégation Indépendante du Cameroun tient depuis le lundi 18 Janvier sa toute premiere session ordinaire de l’année nouvelle. Rendu en son dernier jour de travail ce mercredi 20, il s’est penché durant ces trois jours de travaux sur les défis de la mission Clarétaine en cette année nouvelle, en particulier dans les zone difficile. Par ailleurs, le Conseil a également réfléchi sur le nouveau budget de l’année, ssur la célebration de la clôture du jubilé d’or de la presence Clarétaine au Cameroun qui connaîtra son apogée les 6,7,8,et 9 Avril prochain a Yaoundé. Enfin il s’est penché sur la programmation annuelle des activites du Gouvernement.

Le Conseil de la Délégation Indépendante du Cameroun a tenu sa première session odinaire de la nouvelle année qui vie.t de commencer. Cette première session ouverte le 18 janvier va s’achever le 20. Durant ces trois jours le Conseil se penchera sur les défis de la mission Clarétaine au Cameroun en cette année nouvelle surtout dans les zones difficiles; son nouveau budget pour la nouvelle année et la célébration de du jubilé de ses cinquante ans de présence qu Cameroun, qui se trouvera son apogée les 6,7,8 et 9 Avril 2021, à Yaoundé.
