Meditation
Today, the Church invites us to meditate on the mystery by which bread and wine become the Body and Blood of Christ during the Eucharistic celebration. God sent the priest Melchizedek to Abraham with an offering of bread and wine, the same elements that Jesus shared with His disciples at the Last Supper, saying, “This is my body; this is my blood.” It is this same bread and wine that a priest consecrates during the Mass. In the celebration of the Eucharist, we commemorate the sacrifice through which Jesus secured our salvation. On Calvary, Jesus offered himself and shed his blood for our sake. He became the Lamb of God slain to take away the sins of the world. In the Eucharist, we partake of the flesh and blood of this Lamb. The Body and Blood of Christ thus become a source of nourishment for our souls. When Jesus fed the 5000 men, he provided food for their bodies, but he knew that they also needed to feed their souls. The Eucharist is the spiritual banquet through which we proclaim the death and resurrection of Jesus. It unites us with Jesus, and empower us to faithfully serve Him each day. Let us partake in the Eucharist regularly and faithfully.

Méditation
Lorsqu’à la messe nous communions, nous ne recevons pas simplement un morceau de pain et nous ne buvons pas simplement du vin. Nous recevons le Christ lui meme dans la plénitude de sa nuture. c’est le moyen qu’Il a trouvé pour demeurer continuellement présent en nous. Il est donc bon pour chacun de prendre toutes les mesures adéquates avant de s’y approcher, car: «celui qui le recoit Indignement mange et boit sa propre condamnation.»(Gal 6,7)
Le Vendredi 13 juin 2025, la cathédrale Saints Pierre et Paul de Douala a été le lieu privilégié d’une célébration solennelle et émouvante : l’ordination presbytérale du Révérend Père Douryang Paul Kaga, cmf.
La messe d’ordination a été présidée par Son Excellence Mgr Samuel Kleda, Archevêque Métropolitain de Douala, en présence d’un grand nombre de fidèles, parmi lesquels plusieurs prêtres, religieux, religieuses, séminaristes et laïcs venus de divers horizons. La joie, la ferveur et la prière ont rythmé cette célébration marquant un tournant décisif dans la vie de ce jeune missionnaire, désormais prêtre du Christ pour l’éternité.
Par l’imposition des mains et la prière consécratoire, l’Église a conféré au diacre Douryang Paul Kaga, cmf le sacrement de l’Ordre dans son degré sacerdotal, le configurant ainsi au Christ Bon Pasteur. Mgr Kleda, dans son homélie, a rappelé la grandeur et l’exigence de la vocation sacerdotale : « Le prêtre est un homme pris parmi les hommes, mais mis à part pour servir les autres au nom du Christ. »
Ce moment fut d’autant plus significatif qu’il s’est déroulé en communion avec l’ordination de 13 nouveaux diacres, également appelés à servir l’Église dans la charité, la Parole et la liturgie. Ce fut une véritable fête de l’Église, un signe fort de vitalité vocationnelle.
Membre de la Congrégation des Missionnaires Fils du Cœur Immaculé de Marie (Clarétains), le Père Douryang Paul Kaga se place désormais sous le signe de la mission et de la prédication. Fidèle à l’héritage de saint Antoine-Marie Claret, il est envoyé pour « enflammer le monde de l’amour de Dieu » là où le besoin se fait le plus pressant.
Que le ministère du Père Douryang Paul Kaga,cmf soit fécond et lumineux, et que son “oui” généreux au Seigneur porte du fruit en abondance pour l’Église et pour le monde.
At the age of 16 he became a Jesuit novice in Rome. Aloysius, still a novice, worked hard helping patients infected by the plague. He himself caught the plague. He died at midnight on the 20th of June with the name of Jesus on his lips.

Meditation
“Do not worry.” Is this possible? How can we avoid worrying? Life is full of anxieties: providing for our needs and those of our families, job security, the faithfulness of our spouses, the success of our children, plans, and projects, among others. All these concerns occupy our minds, and their significance is undeniable. So, what does Jesus mean? He is urging us to cultivate trust in divine providence, that is, God’s ability to make all things work out for our good. He reminds us that God is aware of our needs and asures us that the One who cares for the birds and the grass will certainly take care of us. This does not mean we should stop planning, projecting, and working. Instead, it means that, amidst these efforts, we should remember to surrender everything into God’s hands, mindful that success ultimately depends on Him. As Saint Ignatius of Loyola advises, we should work as if everything depended on us, and then pray as if nothing depended on us. Let us learn to rely on God and entrust our worries to Him.
During a persecution by Diocletian, Alban surrendered himself in place of a Christian priest, and so unbaptised by water, attained a baptism of blood. In the same persecution Julius and Aaron, at Caerleon on Usk, are named among others who gave their lives for the faith.

Meditation
“Do not store up treasures for yourselves on earth.” Some may mistakenly believe that Christianity glorifies poverty by advising people against seeking riches on earth or improving their material well-being. However, this perception is far from the truth. As seen in Psalm 127, the righteous person is encouraged: “By the labour of your hands you shall eat; you will be happy and prosper.” The message is not to abstain from possessing riches but to avoid being possessed by riches. Jesus says that earthly treasures can be destroyed or stolen because they are not permanent. They can vanish overnight, and even if retained, they cannot be taken to the grave. True treasure, heavenly treasure, lies in communion with God, and is attainable through a virtuous life. Our quest for earthly treasure is legitimate, but it should not blind us to the need of growing in holiness — the true treasure that secures us eternal life.

Qu’est ce qui nous tient le plus à cœur dans notre vie ? nos biens ? pour mieux parvenir à trouver une réponse par soit même il suffit de rentrer dans la chambre de notre cœur et sans hypocrisie nous posé nous-même la question de savoir comment réagirons-nous si quelqu’un en venait à toucher tel ou tel de nos bien. La réaction de notre fort intérieur nous permettra de mieux savoir à quoi nous tenons. Puis nous pourrons peser cela et le Christ à la balance pour voir vers qui ou quoi nous penchons le plus.

As far as I can tell, these arch-apostles have nothing more than I have. Or was I wrong, lowering myself so as to lift you high, by preaching the gospel of God to you and taking no fee for it? I was robbing other churches, living on them so that I could serve you. When I was with you and ran out of money, I was no burden to anyone; the brothers who came from Macedonia provided me with everything I wanted. I was very careful, and I always shall be, not to be a burden to you in any way, and by Christ’s truth in me, this cause of boasting will never be taken from me in the regions of Achaia. Would I do that if I did not love you? God knows I do.

Meditation
“I arranged for you to marry Christ.” Scripture often draws parallels between God and His people to that of a husband and wife, with sinfulness likened to infidelity or adultery. The Christians of Corinth have entered into a spiritual “marriage” with Christ through their acceptance of the Gospel. Paul expresses concern that they may succumb to temptation, similar to Eve, and betray their covenant with Christ. We belong to Christ in the same way that two spouses belong to each other, and any sin against God betrays His love, just as infidelity does in marriage. The world makes many proposals that tempt us with means of fulfilling our urges and desires, “easy” paths to wealth, and avenues for acquiring power and influence. These are temptations meant to lead us astray and prompt us to betray our relationship with Christ, our Beloved. Today, Christ teaches us the ‘Our Father’. As we say this prayer, let us sincerely ask God to shield us from falling into temptation and to deliver us from the snares of the evil one.
A vingt ans, Romuald (vers 951-1027) quitte Ravenne pour la solitude. de ma part un peu de folie ? Oui, de ma part, vous allez le supporter, à cause de mon amour jaloux qui est l’amour même de Dieu pour vous. Car je vous ai unis au seul Époux : vous êtes la vierge pure que j’ai présentée au Christ. Mais j’ai bien peur qu’à l’exemple d’Ève séduite par la ruse du serpent, votre intelligence des choses ne se corrompe en perdant la simplicité et la pureté qu’il faut avoir à l’égard du Christ. En effet, si le premier venu vous annonce un autre Jésus, un Jésus que nous n’avons pas annoncé, si vous recevez un esprit différent de celui que vous avez reçu, ou un Évangile différent de celui que vous avez accueilli, vous le supportez fort bien ! J’estime, moi, que je ne suis inférieur en rien à tous ces super-apôtres. Je ne vaux peut-être pas grand-chose pour les discours, mais pour la connaissance de Dieu, c’est différent : nous vous l’avons montré en toute occasion et de toutes les façons. Aurais-je commis une faute lorsque, m’abaissant pour vous élever, je vous ai annoncé l’Évangile de Dieu gratuitement ? J’ai appauvri d’autres Églises en recevant d’elles l’argent nécessaire pour me mettre à votre service. Quand j’étais chez vous, et que je me suis trouvé dans le besoin, je n’ai été à charge de personne ; en effet, pour m’apporter ce dont j’avais besoin, des frères sont venus de Macédoine. En toute occasion, je me suis gardé d’être un poids pour vous, et je m’en garderai toujours. Aussi sûrement que la vérité du Christ est en moi, ce motif de fierté ne me sera enlevé dans aucune des régions de la Grèce. Pourquoi donc me comporter ainsi ? Serait- ce parce que je ne vous aime pas ? Mais si ! Et Dieu le sait.

Méditation
En déhors de la messe qui est la plus grande priere du chrétien parce qu’Il y est célébré le mémorial de la souffrance, mort et resurrection de notre Seaigneur Jésus Christ, dans notre attente de la parousie, la grande priere que nous sommes appelé à addressé à Dieu c’est l’orthodoxie de notre vie calquée sur le méssage évangélique. Ainsi, en nous tournant vers notre Pere nous n’aurons pas à trop argumenter pour nos besoins car nos oeuvres parleront dejà pour nous.
Aveugle depuis son jeune âge, guidé par un loup, selon la légende, il mena une vie de pèlerin avant de mourir en 568.

L’Écriture dit en effet de l’homme juste: Il distribue, il donne aux pauvres; sa justice demeure à jamais. La générosité n’a pas besoin d’etre médiatisée. une telle générosité donne à l’homme de tirer sa propre gloire temporaire des hommes tout en perdant la gloire éternelle qui vient de Dieu. celui qui se livre à la générosité médiatique sombre tres facilement dans la colere lorsque son acte n’a pas été salué; et la conséquence est qu’il soit promt à refuser d’en faire à une autre occasion. Pire encore à provoquer le manquue chez ses bénéficiaire pour se vanger d’eux. la charité chrétienne consiste à faire le bien sans en attenndre en retour; faire le bien et laissé que ce bien là parle pour soit devant Dieu.

Now here, brothers, is the news of the grace of God which was given in the churches in Macedonia; and of how, throughout great trials by suffering, their constant cheerfulness and their intense poverty have overflowed in a wealth of generosity. I can swear that they gave not only as much as they could afford, but far more, and quite spontaneously, begging and begging us for the favour of sharing in this service to the saints and, what was quite unexpected, they offered their own selves first to God and, under God, to us.
Because of this, we have asked Titus, since he has already made a beginning, to bring this work of mercy to the same point of success among you. You always have the most of everything – of faith, of eloquence, of understanding, of keenness for any cause, and the biggest share of our affection – so we expect you to put the most into this work of mercy too. It is not an order that I am giving you; I am just testing the genuineness of your love against the keenness of others. Remember how generous the Lord Jesus was: he was rich, but he became poor for your sake, to make you rich out of his poverty.

“You must be perfect, just as your heavenly Father is perfect.’ Jesus, in his divine nature, became incarnate to enable us partake in divinity. Thus, He urges us to strive for perfection, mirroring God’s perfection. As God is love, our path to perfection involves learning to love as God loves. Today’s Scriptures show us two ways to achieve this perfection. Firstly, through works of charity. Saint Paul invites the Corinthians to make sacrifices to aid the Christians of Jerusalem, echoing Jesus’ example of making Himself poor to make us rich. Secondly, we should extend love to even our enemies. Jesus emphasises that God blesses both the good and the bad, prompting us to go beyond our circle of friends, family, and acquaintances to show kindness to those we may not consider our friends. Let us be eager to offer assistance to those around us who are in need, even to those we perceive as our enemies. In so doing, we embark on a journey towards the perfection that mirrors the divine love of our heavenly Father.
