Vers 1233, sept marchands florentins renoncent à leur commerce et à leurs gains pour mener une autre recherche dans la solitude du Mont Senario. Ils vivent en communauté dans la pénitence et méditent la passion de Jésus et les douleurs de sa mère. Ainsi prend naissance l’ordre des « servites » ou « serviteurs de Marie », voué à la prédication et à l’enseignement.

Ceux dont le coeur est à Dieu chantent: « Tu es, Seigneur, mon héritage et ma part à la coupe; la part que j’ai reçue est la plus belle ».

Mets en nous Seigneur, cette piété qui portait les Fondateurs des Servites à aimer tendrement la mère de ton Fils et à faire avancer ton peuple vers toi. Par Jésus.
1ère lecture : Gn 4, 1-15.25
L’homme s’unit à Ève, sa femme : elle devint enceinte, et elle mit au monde Caïn. Elle dit alors : « J’ai acquis un homme avec l’aide du Seigneur ! » Dans la suite, elle mit au monde Abel, frère de Caïn. Abel devint berger, et Caïn cultivait la terre. Au temps fixé, Caïn présenta des produits de la terre en offrande au Seigneur. De son côté, Abel présenta les premiers-nés de son troupeau, en offrant les morceaux les meilleurs. Le Seigneur tourna son regard vers Abel et son offrande, mais vers Caïn et son offrande, il ne le tourna pas. Caïn en fut très irrité et montra un visage abattu. Le Seigneur dit à Caïn : « Pourquoi es-tu irrité, pourquoi ce visage abattu ? Si tu agis bien, ne relèveras-tu pas ton visage ? Mais si tu n’agis pas bien…, le péché est accroupi à ta porte. Il est à l’affût, mais tu dois le dominer. » Caïn dit à son frère Abel: « Sortons dans les champs. » Et, quand ils furent dans la campagne, Caïn se jeta sur son frère Abel et le tua. Le Seigneur dit à Caïn : « Où est ton frère Abel ? » Caïn répondit : « Je ne sais pas. Est-ce que je suis, moi, le gardien de mon frère ? » Le Seigneur reprit : « Qu’as-tu fait ? La voix du sang de ton frère crie de la terre vers moi Maintenant donc, sois maudit et chassé loin de cette terre qui a ouvert la bouche pour boire le sang de ton frère, versé par ta main. Tu auras beau cultiver la terre, elle ne produira plus rien pour toi. Tu seras un errant, un vagabond sur la terre.» Alors Caïn dit au Seigneur : « Mon châtiment est trop lourd à porter ! Voici qu’aujourd’hui tu m’as chassé de cette terre. Je dois me cacher loin de toi, je serai un errant, un vagabond sur la terre, et le premier venu qui me trouvera me tuera. » Le Seigneur lui répondit: « Si quelqu’un tue Caïn, Caïn sera vengé sept fois.» Et le Seigneur mit un signe sur Caïn pour le préserver d’être tué par le premier venu qui le trouverait. Adam s’unit encore à sa femme, et elle mit au monde un fils. Elle lui donna le nom de Seth (ce qui veut dire : accordé), car elle dit : « Dieu m’a accordé une nouvelle descendance à la place d’Abel, tué par Caïn. »

En ce temps-là, les pharisiens survinrent et se mirent à discuter avec Jésus ; pour le mettre à l’épreuve, ils cherchaient à obtenir de lui un signe venant du ciel. Jésus soupira au plus profond de lui-même et dit : « Pourquoi cette génération cherche-t-elle un signe ? Amen, je vous le déclare : aucun signe ne sera donné à cette génération. » Puis il les quitta, remonta en barque, et il partit vers l’autre rive.

Déjà fortifiés par cette communion, nous te supplions encore, Seigneur notre Dieu : puissions-nous, à l’exemple des saint Fondateurs des Servites, ne jamais rechercher que toi et vivre dans ce monde en homme nouveaux. Par Jésus.
Méditation
Les pharisiens ont l’opportunité de parler à Jésus. Ils ne sont pas motivés par la foi mais ils nourrissent leur dialogue d’une volonté malsaine ? Ils le mettent à l’épreuve, ce qu’ils recherchent c’est un signe de Jésus et non pas Jésus lui-même. Ils veulent bénéficier de la grâce de Dieu sans être avec Dieu mieux encore ils sollicitent les signes de Dieu sans la foi en Dieu. De nos jours nous confondons la recherche des solutions à nos problèmes de santé à la foi en Dieu. Lorsque notre objectif n’est pas atteint il est une option, se désolidariser de l’Eglise et s’adonner à des rites traditionnels et au spiritisme. Puisse le Seigneur nous donner de chercher et aimer le Christ en vérité.

Meditation
We often find ourselves compelled to demonstrate our worth or our strength to avoid ridicule and accusations of charlatanism. In the Christian life, such situations arise when practising our faith requires that we answer questions about morality and spirituality, either through our teaching, our example, or even through displays of miraculous power. While it is tempting to always respond “with fire and brimstone”, it is better to prove our faith by following Jesus’ example by walking away. The Pharisees’ demand for a sign from heaven, as highlighted in the Gospel of Mark, was not driven by a genuine desire to increase their faith, or edifiy those seeking the face of God. Rather, it was, as Mark tells us, to test Jesus. In our present context, many are being deceived by false miracles, as they crave for extraordinary displays of God’s power in their lives, overlooking the regular miracles of life, good health, and existence itself. Like Abel, we can become the sign others seek by staying true to ourselves and engaging in quiet, humble, and loving service to God.

1ère lecture : Jr 17, 5-8
Ainsi parle le Seigneur : Maudit soit l’homme qui met sa foi dans un mortel, qui s’appuie sur un être de chair, tandis que son cœur se détourne du Seigneur. Il sera comme un buisson sur une terre désolée, il ne verra pas venir le bonheur. Il aura pour demeure les lieux arides du désert, une terre salée, inhabitable. Béni soit l’homme qui met sa foi dans le Seigneur, dont le Seigneur est la confiance. Il sera comme un arbre, planté près des eaux, qui pousse, vers le courant, ses racines. Il ne craint pas quand vient la chaleur : son feuillage reste vert. L’année de la sécheresse, il est sans inquiétude : il ne manque pas de porter du fruit.

R/ Heureux est l’homme qui met sa foi dans le Seigneur. (Ps 39, 5a)
Heureux est l’homme qui n’entre pas au conseil des méchants, qui ne suit pas le chemin des pécheurs, ne siège pas avec ceux qui ricanent, mais se plaît dans la loi du Seigneur et murmure sa loi jour et nuit !
Il est comme un arbre planté près d’un ruisseau, qui donne du fruit en son temps, et jamais son feuillage ne meurt ; tout ce qu’il entreprend réussira. Tel n’est pas le sort des méchants.
Mais ils sont comme la paille balayée par le vent. Le Seigneur connaît le chemin des justes, mais le chemin des méchants se perdra.
2ème lecture : 1 Co 15, 12.16-20
Frères, nous proclamons que le Christ est ressuscité d’entre les morts ; alors, comment certains d’entre vous peuvent-ils affirmer qu’il n’y a pas de résurrection des morts ? Car si les morts ne ressuscitent pas, le Christ non plus n’est pas ressuscité. Et si le Christ n’est pas ressuscité, votre foi est sans valeur, vous êtes encore sous l’emprise de vos péchés ; et donc, ceux qui se sont endormis dans le Christ sont perdus. Si nous avons mis notre espoir dans le Christ pour cette vie seulement, nous sommes les plus à plaindre de tous les hommes. Mais non ! le Christ est ressuscité d’entre les morts, lui, premier ressuscité parmi ceux qui se sont endormis.
Acclamation
Alléluia, alléluia! Réjouissez-vous, tressaillez de joie, dit le Seigneur, car votre récompense est grande dans le ciel. Alléluia.(Lc 6, 23)

Méditation
Tout homme désire être heureux car Dieu nous a créé pour l’être. Mais ce Dieu nous montre les voies pour y parvenir « Heureux êtes-vous quand les hommes vous haïssent et vous excluent, quand ils insultent et rejettent votre nom comme méprisable, à cause du Fils de l’homme”. Les pistes que trace saint Luc semblent défavoriser l’homme heureux ce qui pleurent, heureux les pauvres, heureux ceux qui ont faim. Ceci veut dire que le salut et le Bonheur ne sont pas tributaires de l’avoir, mais de la foi et de l’obéissance à Dieu. Il y a aussi un chemin pour être malheureux il est lié à l’avoir. Ceci ne veut ne voudrait pas dire que Dieu est contre l’avoir, mais nous devons travailler à ordonner notre avoir pour la vie éternelle. C’est cela être riche en vue de Dieu.

If Christ raised from the dead is what has been preached, how can some of you be saying that there is no resurrection of the dead? For if the dead are not raised, Christ has not been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, you are still in your sins. And what is more serious, all who have died in Christ have perished. If our hope in Christ has been for this life only, we are the most unfortunate of all people. But Christ has in fact been raised from the dead, the first-fruits of all who have fallen asleep.

Meditation
When addressing issues of happiness, the beatitudes present a stark contrast between the prevailing views of contemporary society, shared by humanity at large, and the views of God. They aptly reflect the causes and standards of our happiness. In today’s society, the standards of happiness have been reduced to academic achievement, financial strength, military power, and similar criteria. This societal outlook makes it challenging for those aspiring to lead virtuous lives because they are often the object of outright mockery. While no one naturally desires poverty, hunger, mourning, or disdain, yet, if these are experienced for Christ’s sake, then you are truly happy. Is our very faith not being tested in every age by various challenges as it was the case in the Corinthian community? To maintain happiness in every trial, it is crucial to place unwavering trust in the risen Lord, holding on to His commands and His unfailing promises.
Aujourd’hui 15 février 2025, la Délégation Indépendante du Cameroun a enfanté pour le compte de l’Eglise et de la Congrégation Un nouveau prêtre et trois diacres.
C’est en la paroisse Notre-Dame des Sept-Douleurs d’Akono, eu la joie de célébrer les ordinations presbytérale du Père Simon Armel Essomba, cmf, et diaconales des frères Evrad, Mélaine et Magloire, cmff. Cette grâce nous a été accordée par l’imposition des mains de Mgr Jean Mbarga, Archevêque métropolitain de Yaoundé.
La cérémonie a connu une empreinte de solennité et d’émotion palpable, alors que les nouveaux ordonnés ont reçu leurs responsabilités avec humilité et détermination. La présence de nombreux fidèles a témoigné de l’importance de cet événement pour la paroisse et les communautés chrétiennes environnantes.
Cette ordination marque ainsi un nouveau chapitre dans la vie de la paroisse d’AKONO, apportant avec elle l’espoir, la foi et un engagement renouvelé envers les enseignements de l’Église.
Que le Seigneur continue de bénir notre mission au Cameroun.
